Q. How long does it take to have tint installed on my car?
A. The process generally takes 2 - 4 hours for 1 tinter, depending on the difficulty of the car, cleanliness, and the number of windows.
Q. What do I use to clean my tinted windows?
A. Vinegar based cleaners, no ammonia.
Cleaning
For automotive applications, it is best to wait 7-14 days to clean the film. For residential/commericial applications it is recommended to not clean the film for 30 days after installation. This will help secure proper curing of the special mounting adhesive to the glass.
Cleaning Solutions
Most glass cleaners will work well, although a good cleaning solution for window film is an ounce of liquid dish soap added to 1
quart of fresh water.
Cleaning Materials
Always use clean, soft materials to wash and dry your window film surfaces. To avoid scratching the film, do not use bristle brushes, rough paper towels, abrasive scrubbing sponges, or any cleaning materials that may have been contaminated with dirt particles.

Q. Why do I see little bubbles or patchiness soon after installation?
A. Film Dry-Out Time
During the application of your window film, your installer will remove as much of the mounting solution as possible. However, a small amount of solution will remain, and this moisture build-up can cause small water bubbles and a slightly cloudy look. This is normal and should be expected. Do not pierce any water bubbles during the drying period, and do not try to push the water out, this will damage your film. Eventually, the water bubbles and haziness will dissipate on their own.
Climate Conditions & Dry-Out Time
Depending on the type of film you select, and the climate conditions in your area, dry-out periods will vary. Warm weather and direct sunlight will shorten the dry-out time. Cooler climates, shaded areas, non-sunny weather conditions and thicker films such as architectural films or high performance auto films, can lengthen the drying period. If slow drying occurs with your residential/commercial or automotive installation, do bot be alarmed. It could take a few days to as much as 6 months for the trapped moisture to eventually dry-out.
Q. How will window tinting affect my defroster performance?

A. Yes, Window Film can be removed at any time after the installation. It is faster and easier to call a tint professional, but if you would like to try on your own, there are a number of sites on the internet that offer basic steps.
Q. Why do I see bubbled or purple tint on cars?
A. The tint is either very old or of poor quality. Most older films, even the top quality brands, will discolor and turn purple. When this is accompanied by large air bubbles, thisi means the film was a cheap. The bubbles are a result of a failure in the adhesive system causing the tint to literally lift from the glass.

Q. How long will commercial window films last?
A. Commercial Window film is extremely durable and is backed by a manufacturer's warranty for at least 10 years. Some films are guaranteed for as long as you own your home. The longevity of your window film may also depend upon the type of film applied, type of glass it is applied to, and the particular climate in which it is applied.
Q. Is professionaly installed film expensive?
A. No. The average installation costs less than most other window treatments. Actually, your investment in window film will return dividends in the form of reduced air conditioning and heating costs, and protection against costly fading.
Q. Will Window Film Stop My Furnishings From Fading?
A. Nothing stops fading. Films are designed to reduce the major causes of fading (ultraviolet light, visible light, and solar heat), thus prolonging the life of your furnishings, perhaps as much as two to five times. Keep in mind the articles to be protected; if they have a typical life of 5 years then they may last 10 years to much longer depending on the performance of the film selected. However, if the typical life is only 2-3 weeks, then the expectation should be expressed in terms of months. As a general rule of thumb, ultraviolet (UV) is approximately 40% of the cause, visible light is about 25%, and heat about 25%. The remaining 10% can be attributed to humidity, pollutants, interior lights, dye anchorage, and more.
